  • API keys: Third-party API keys you enter (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini) are used only to process your requests and are never stored on our servers.
  • Usage data: We may collect anonymized usage analytics (page views, feature usage) to improve the platform.

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide and operate the Viral Rated tools and services
  • Authenticate your identity and maintain your session

4. Google API Services & YouTube Data

Viral Rated uses Google OAuth 2.0 to allow you to connect your YouTube account. Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

  • We only request the youtube.readonly and youtube.download scopes, which allow us to view and download caption tracks from your YouTube videos.
  • We do not use your YouTube data to serve advertisements.
  • We do not allow humans to read your YouTube data unless you explicitly request support assistance or it is required by law.
  • We do not share, sell, or transfer your YouTube data to third parties.
  • You can disconnect your YouTube account at any time from within the YouTube to Blog tool, which will delete your stored OAuth tokens.

5. Data Storage & Security

Your account data and YouTube OAuth tokens are stored in a secure database. We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure token storage, and access controls. API keys you enter for third-party AI services are processed in memory only and are never written to our database or logs.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. YouTube OAuth tokens are stored until you disconnect your YouTube account or delete your account. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.
